Cindy has been interested in Natural Health and was drawn to Integrative and Complementary health care as early as the late 1980’s. She earned a Texas Massage Therapy Certification and was one of the first to earn the National Massage Therapy Certification. She was the first in the Nation to contract “On – Site” Massage Therapy Service to the Private Upscale Member Restaurant called the Petroleum Club. In addition, she operated massage therapy services in two cities with her business entitled Knead-a-Break.
Her continued interest in Natural Health Care and the love of learning led her to pursue a Doctor of Naturopathy (ND) degree from Arkansas in 1999. She attended one of the first CAM (Complementary and Alternative Medicine) National Workshops at Harvard Medical School. She continued her interest and education by earning her PhD in Holistic Nutrition, with Honors, in 2007 from Alabama.
Cindy has been working for the past 17 years as a volunteer for both the Army and the Army Reserves. For the past several years, she has been working as a volunteer at the National level. She has been actively involved at the home of Military Medicine for nearly a decade. Some of her input helped initiate the Complimentary Health Services now offered in Military Medicine. Because of her love of learning, she pursued and received Certifications in Instructing, Facilitating, and Briefing through the Army Reserves. Cindy continued with training and earned a Master Trainer Certification from the Department of Defense in 2017.
Her interest in health continues and being married to a Physician has increased her knowledge of our Western Health Care services. It is a natural fit with her education in Natural and Herbal Health that she be involved, and on the cutting edge, of the Medical Marijuana and CBD industry.
Cindy is one of the Proprietors of Express Toxicology Services, founded in 2018.
